Rapid antigen testing will be a 'welcomed initiative' by parents and students of Sydney

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says daily rapid antigen testing for COVID-19 will be a "very welcome initiative” for schools so they can go back to in-person learning.
“It’s not as accurate as going to the testing station, but I think that’s welcomed,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
Mr Clennell said while easing restrictions around attending school is beneficial for students, the critical thing will be if Gladys Berejiklian actually “cracks down” on the southwest and western Sydney.
“The big question I can’t answer for you, which I’m really interested to see and is probably critical to the whole thing ... is Gladys going to crack down on southwest and western Sydney, because the numbers indicate she should.
“It’s all very well loosening everything and opening everything up.
"We know ... the other states aren’t handing over the vaccines, there’s no rush of vaccines to southwest or western Sydney.
“She needs to do something to get the numbers down and that’s the big test for the premier tomorrow I think.”
